Spring Cleaning; Do Needed Repairs.

We found this piece on spring cleaning that hit home for us!  Spring cleaning is about more than scouring floors though, that may be necessary!

“It really is the time for homeowners to take stock of what is likely their most valuable investment.

“You may do your own repairs, or pay to have them done, but there’s no way around (home) maintenance,” Terry Meany writes in “Home Repair & Maintenance: An Illustrated Problem Solver” (The Globe Pequot Press) This author’s spring checklist includes:

• Remove, wash and store storm windows, then install window and storm-door screens.

• Repair any inoperable windows.

• Check and clean the air conditioner (or swamp cooler).

• Remove outdoor furniture covers, then clean and repair as needed.

“A regularly maintained house,” Meany writes, “means you don’t get hit with much bigger deferred problems later.”

Let Reflection Windows and Doors help you with this maintenance!  We do windows and doors and more!

What To Look For When Hiring Someone To Work On Your Home!

This piece is directed towards “contractors” but the same theories and cautions apply when hiring anyone to work on your home or business.

As Le Pedis states,  failing to perform your due diligence ahead of time can be a costly mistake in the long run.  Whether you are hiring someone to do a major renovation or  a seemingly simple pressure wash of your home, you want to hire the best.

LaPedis wisely advises that you  look for a BBB accredited firm and one that is Angie’s List approved.   Reflection is a proud member of the BBB and has been given the Angie’s List Super Service Award.   Additionally, we often update our site with our excellent customer reviews.

Reflection Windows and Doors understands that you need to stretch your dollar but also get the best money can buy.  We have the proven track record and the accreditation to back up our claims of excellence!  Please, check us out and give us a call!

Vibrant downtown Denver called key to region’s thriving

This is a great piece on urban living and working in downtown Denver.  Of particular note is a recurring theme we are seeing:  “Don’t look to the federal government to help you out,”  “Nothing substantial is going to happen in Washington any time soon. It is up to this region to resolve its problems itself.” In other words, it is up to Colorado and it’s citizens to boost our local economy.  It’s a theme we’ve often repeated.  This is not just an opportunity to sell our services but by all means please do check us out for all your window cleaning/replacement, building maintenance needs.

Help boost the Colorado economy and buy local!

If You Think Twitter is Not Working For Your Business….

December 21, 2011

I found this to be an excellent piece stressing the importance of networking on Twitter.  The same applies to Facebook.  I see people doing nothing but trying to sell on Social Media and the results are generally unfollows.

Though it is possible and probable that you will sell your services/goods on social media, the key is to build targeted relationships first.  I have highlighted my favorite paragraph from this post but the entire post is noteworthy.

“Twitter isn’t about selling. It’s about networking person to person. You should be trying to build relationships with people, not sell to them. Once you become friendly with people, they are more likely to want to do business with you any day.

Businesses think of Twitter as a way to personally broadcast their business instead of a relationship building opportunity. Big NO NO!

Be a person. Show The people on Twitter you are a real person. Be human. Be helpful. You will genuinely attract people who are interested in you & your business with this approach.

Stop expecting overnight results & start focusing on building your relationships. Do you realize how much you can learn about your potential customers if you pay attention to your social media accounts?

Stop trying to take short cuts. Sit down & learn the process. There are no short cuts to building relationships, plain & simple.

You need targeted followers, not randomness. Something I help all my clients obtain. Just plain followers, will not help you. You need followers who are looking for what you have to offer & followers who want to learn from you.”
